In 2382 Starfleet sent the U.S.S. King George V into the Gamma Quadrant on a classified mission. Two years later she returned but failed to respond to hails. A boarding party found no one on board and the ship's computer had been wiped of all record of her journey. All they could tell was that someone had programmed her to return to Starbase. The ship was put in mothballs while the mystery was investigated. No official report has been filed.

In the early days of 2385, Starfleet assigned Lt. Commander Nicholas Hall to pull the King George V out of mothballs. Now he needs your help to uncover the history of his mysterious ship.

The USS King George V is an Intrepid Class light cruiser designed to carry out a variety of tasks, including scientific investigation, intelligence gathering, and border patrol. She has the most up-to-date Starfleet equipment but a small compliment (only 140 officers and crew) and extremely limited facilities for family.

The ship's interior, however, has been designed to resemble a ship from a much earlier age with living compartments accented with simulated wood paneling and brass fixtures.
